We use an unlimited number of things in everyday life. Any of them must have its place and be stored correctly, so that it can be used for a long time. These are seasonal clothes and shoes, old children’s toys, books and much more. And many are tormented by the question of how to make a box for storing things with their own hands? After all, the box is the most suitable storage option at home.

Storage Boxes

The basis can be all kinds of cardboard packaging from small home appliances (TV, printer, double boiler) or household chemicals. They may remain in the closet with you, your neighbors or relatives. Or in case of emergency, ask about them at wholesale or retail stores. These boxes are made of thick cardboard, so they can not withstand increased loads and differences in humidity, temperature. In other cases, it is better to use boxes made of more durable materials.

You can find countless possible ways of making a storehouse for things with your own hands in various specialized literature and on the Internet. Your imagination and the surrounding interior will tell you the right colors and shapes. The easiest option is a fabric-covered box with a small amount of jewelry.

We need the following accessories: boxes of the right sizes, old belts, a piece of fabric (depending on the size of the box, you can also use pieces), bolts, pins, glue spray. Of the tools – a screwdriver, drill, scissors and a ruler.

The fabric should be ironed first. After measuring the sides of the box, measure and cut the right amount of fabric and glue the walls (do not forget about the inside) with glue. The old belt is suitable as a handle, cut the desired length. Using a drill, make holes in the cardboard and belt, thread the screws into them and secure with pins (they can then be painted with a suitable color). The pen in this case is done solely for your convenience. Instead of fabric, you can use gift paper or trimmings of natural wallpaper, which can then be colored with felt-tip pens.
