Where do we start?
The first thing to do is to divide things: into strictly seasonal (summer, winter) and transit ones, they can be worn all year round (bikes, shirts, jeans).
Sorting warm clothes before storing them, we can immediately weed out those clothes that we don’t wear for a long time (and the possibility that we will be wearing is very small) or, on the contrary, wears for a long time, and it has already become unusable. Both in the first and in the 2nd case, it is necessary to get rid of such things.
During parsing, a lot of baby clothes are always discarded, from which your children have already grown. A part of children’s things can be sold if desired. Well, if there is no such desire, you can always find those to whom this clothing can still be useful. Well, you will keep the remaining things in better conditions: more space, more air.
In addition, before packing winter clothes, it is advisable to check all pockets and remove garbage accumulated during the winter from them, such as used transport tickets, candy wrappers, also forgotten scarves, coins. You need to see if all the buttons and rivets are in place, whether the lightning works well. In the event of a malfunction, repair, sew and repair everything.
No odors and stains
If you are well prepared for long-term storage, then avoid many problems. But serious problems can arise – a voracious moth, mold, unpleasant smell and stains, creases and loss of uniform.
Coats, fur coats, suits are best given to dry cleaning specialists. Fur products must first be dried in a draft room. It is not recommended to keep fur coats in the sun, especially light ones – they turn yellow. To preserve the color of light fur, it should be stored in a fabric case.
Before removing down jackets and jackets, they must be washed. This can be done manually or in the washing machine, but first pay attention to the icons on the label: some things can only be cleaned with dry cleaning. Such things, for example, include down jackets with special moisture-proofing impregnation.
Jackets on a synthetic winterizer are washed with a mild detergent in the mode created for synthetics. It’s better to rinse the dark ones twice to avoid soapy stains.
