Not always the area of the apartment allows you to select a separate room for the locker room. In the article we will tell you how to organize a place for storage in the bedroom, to determine the type of dressing room, form and filling.
First, let’s figure out what a dressing room is all the same.
Locker room – an ordered system of shelves, rails, baskets or boxes for storing things. Its main distinguishing feature is that you choose the “content” yourself: in other words, you decide how the inner space will be cooperated. Unlike the cabinet, which is purchased ready.
Types of Wardrobe
1. Traditional design. Housing module system
The design consists of modules that are connected by couplers. Typically, the modules are made of chipboard, which determines the low price of such a dressing room. Only individual drawers, hangers and shelves can be moved inside the modules. The overall design remains unchanged and does not disassemble. In addition, such a dressing room is difficult to rearrange from one place to another without outside help. In most cases, the structure is placed along the walls, so it is not necessary that it has a back wall.
2. Frame storage system.
The basis of the frame wardrobe is metal racks that abut against the floor and ceiling. Between them are storage surfaces or boxes. Boxes can be either open (you can store t-shirts in them) or closed (for underwear).
3. Mesh storage system
The most mobile dressing room. The modules in this case are mesh boxes and shelves. The entire structure can be disassembled or interchanged effortlessly. The dressing room occupies a minimum of space and is well ventilated.
4. Panel storage system
Panel wardrobe differs from the rest in that it consists only of horizontal panels. After installing the main panels, boxes or rails for clothes are attached to them.
Where to install a dressing room?
Regardless of which type of dressing room you have chosen, the next step is to decide where in the bedroom to equip it.
1. Parallel to the wall
Position the structure along the free wall. If you chose this option, use the entire wall – you won’t have to think about how to occupy the remaining space, and the wardrobe will increase in capacity.
